ACCOUNT TERMINATION

This is the policy for requests on terminating one's account with BlackBook Travels Ltd. and its subsidiaries and associate entities (collectively referred to as the “BlackBook Companies”).

The BlackBook Companies value your trust, and make it a high priority to ensure the security and confidentiality of the personal information you provide to us. Please read our Privacy Policy to learn about our privacy practices. 

TERMINATION PROCESS

To initiate a termination of your account, you must follow these steps:

• Open your BlackBook Travels app (on iOS or Android)
• Navigate to your "My Profile" section
• Scroll to the bottom of the page
• Tap on "Delete Account"
• When prompted if you are sure you would like to delete your account, tap "Proceed"
• The account termination request is then generated, and you can tap Submit/Send to confirm the request

Once the termination request is received by us, we will process and revert to you within 7 working days.

DATA RETENTION

Please note that we need to retain certain data for record keeping purposes and/or to complete any transactions that you began prior to requesting a change or account termination. (e.g. you have made a purchase/reservation, or entered a promotion). In such cases, we may retain the provided Personal Data until after the completion of your purchase, reservation or promotion. There may be residual data that will remain within our databases and other records, which will not be removed. In addition, there may be certain data that we may need to retain for legal, security or business reasons.

We will retain your Personal Data for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

The criteria used to determine our retention period include:

• The length of time we have an ongoing relationship with you and provide the Services to your (i.e. for as long as you have an active account or use our Services)
• Whether there is a legal obligation to which we are subject (e.g. certain laws require use to keep your transactions for a certain period of time before we can delete them.)
• Whether retention is advisable considering our legal position (such as, for statutes of limitations, litigation or regulatory investigations.)

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated policy will supersede earlier versions and will apply to all accounts created with us previously. You are encouraged to review our policy from time to time to keep yourself updated on these changes. We may notify you about material changes to this policy by sending a notice to the email address you provided to us or by placing a prominent notice on our Website.

The ‘LAST UPDATED” legend at the bottom of this page indicates when this policy was last revised.
